He said that for the future generations, this monument has to be preserved. The new tickets having barcodes will be of Rs. 50 and their validity duration will be 3 hours. All the travellers visiting Taj Mahal, India will have to pay this fees to enter the area.

Mr Sharma added to the statement that as per the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute’s report, the integrity of the site needs to be protected and for this, there must be a reduction in the number of visitors. He said that this option was not viable but something has to be done. These price hikes will ensure the fact that only the travellers visiting Taj Mahal who are actually interested to come inside the area will get permission.
