Primarily, Real name of Abhaneri was Abha Nagri that means the city of effulgence. It is nearly about 95 kms distance from the Jaipur. This vintage well is comprised of 3500 narrow steps with more than 13 stories. This well is lengthen 30 ms from the ground, which is now one of the largest and deepest step wells in India. It was built between 800 AD and 900 AD in the period of King Chandra of the Chauhan Dynasty.
